rolling coal.
« on: 23 July 2014, 00:28:51 »

Im sure everyones seen these videos on YouTube.  Some people think its funny others dont. Just wondering if its possible to do on the diesel omegas and if so how?

Have seen a td that humped out black smoke but not as much as the hill billys in the states.

Ideas and discussion on  how to do it and your views of actually doing it on poor innocent civilians

I had to google the term.
Now I know what it means I just have to figure out why any normal person would want to do it.

I would imagine an attempt at this in London would probably end up in a friendly chat with either the police, or the end if a baseball bat-whichever stopped you first!

This thread isn't complete without a fail link!  ;)

It's a dumb assed hillbilly Yank thing!  ::)  Although I did chuckle at the footage of the truck passing the cyclists and engulfing them in a thick cloud of black sooty smoke!  ;D

Just to clarify, we are not all like this. There seems to be a different “scene” over here. Vag diesels and 306 d turbos are popular to be covered in soot. They think it indicates there dervs are chipped or screwed up at the pumps and go better than they actually do!
I have never done a doughnut in any of my cars nor will I. Don't see the point.  I can drive on a bit and do a bit of sliding round corners but no more than what some members on here do. Don't want you lot tarnishing us with the same brush.

So as its a diesel you need to get more fuel in than there is air to burn.

So you either turn up the fuelling (not easy on modern electronic control pumps) or reduce the air.

Maybe I am taking it too seriously, but............................honestly...............................these dudes are just being totally irresponsible and showing no respects for life.

Why the hell do they think this is a sensible "protest" against measures to protect the environment?

Shortage of brain cells me thinks ::) ::) ::) ::)

And they introduced adblue to hgv's which has nearly eliminated the soot from exhausts now!

A great way to bore-wash your engine and waste fuel at the same time. :y

And if it was a child/children/a baby/babies/a mother/a grandfather/a grandmother/someone's sister/someone's brother, would you still chuckle? What exactly positions cyclists at such a level that you think it is humane/normal to do such a thing to them? Perhaps running them over with a car is "chuckle inducing" as well?

Back to the OP, you would have to be an American/an idiot/a moron to even consider that this was a normal thing to do.

I think the urban dictionary has them sussed:

Quote
This particular stereotype is the progression of the IROC Camaro owner in the 1990s and the lowered Civic Hatchback owner in the early 2000s. They can be identified by their love of Nickelback, lack of personal hygiene, closeted homosexuality and morbid obesity. A majority of these owners reside in Florida, this species also can be found in eastern Texas, Alabama, Georgia, and California's central valley.
