I first heard about this complex of tunnels under Portsdown Hill many years ago. Built during WW2  as an Under ground HQ., they were used by NATO during the cold war.
In Part one of the video, the film crew have gained acess from Emergency exit 1. These exit points are still visible on the hill below Fort Southwick.
Military Road ( the public road that runs along the top of the hill ) is marked on their tunnel guide (pause the video @2.35) & passes over corridors 60 to 64.

Tracking east the  Rampion wind farm off the sussex coast was just visible.

General Discussion Area / Are you an aspie thinker ?
« on: 17 October 2017, 23:17:51 »
Just watched the Chris Packham film where he discusses his Aspergers syndrome  :y
How difficult that must have been, to trawl up obviously painful memories from his past  :(
Now there are many ppl with a broad spectrum of autistic traits & somehow they kinda cope
Some of the social interactions he still has problems with, my brother will still avoid.
Packham talks about his coping strategies & to be honest he`s glossing over a million & one problems there

Obsession & isolation I think that ticks the main boxes.

One shocking stat. he reveals is that only 14% of sufferers are in full time employment

I`ll always been there for my brother, but how many isolated ppl are out there living with similar problems  and with no one to turn to  ???

Again heavy traffic on the A27  towards Chichester in the morning ::)
Filtered to the head of a half-mile  tailback to find 2 HGV nutters duelling it out
One of the wagons was a tanker, creeping so slowly  past MR ASDA & he wasn`t lettin up >:(
Always seems so pointless, 10 mins to overtake  WHY  ???

General Car Chat / new windscreen time
« on: 21 July 2017, 14:53:03 »
I see on my policy, their prefered companys are Autoglass or Mr Windscreen.
Now what , flip a coin ??? or pop around to the local junior school to see if the fitter is available next week  ;D
Last windscreen done was on my GSI astra & it was appalling, The autofarce bloke spent most of his time textin & chattin on his fone.
What can I expect 7 years later  ???

Because of the following reasons :-

This is just a follow up email to remind you that you need to meet some requirements in order to process your policy fully.

These requirements are imposed by insurers and the government as compliance, anti-fraud and anti-terrorism measures.
Below is the up to date status of your account:

Subjectivity
                Status
Copy of Licence               Outstanding
Proof of NCB                  Outstanding
Licence Check Code        Outstanding

WTF has any of this got to do with anti-terrorism  ???

Anyone else been asked for a  copy of their licence,

Don`t get me wrong I like the idea of high mpg & low emmisions etc  :y
The reality of owning one is slightly weird & frustrating  ::)
Jump-in & press the start button & a green light indicates it`s "Ready" to go
So select "D" & we creep away relatively quickly under leccy power.
Then a bit faster & the crap noisy 1500 cc engine kicks in & the graphic on the infotainment centre shows mean little green lines surgin about.
But I can`t ever just press the start button & turn on the petrol engine when the car is at a standstill. If I could just tell the little sod  >:( I want to listen to mister noisy a mo cos that squicky noise has come back & I`d like to get eye`s & ears on the problem.
Nope I`m not a fan  :P I`ve given it a  shake down & quite happily re-park it back home on my Uncles driveway. He`s back home from his travels next month & he`s welcome to it
