So, where are we staying then, Shifnel or Telford?

Its getting fairly close so we could do with booking so as to avoid dissapointment....

Yep good question, what are folks arrangements?
I happy to go with the flow. Be good to find somewhere where we are not too far apart?

I have to say that Naughty Nells looked reasonable on the web site but, if we want travel lodges and are willing to share rooms it would help bring the cost down.

looks like about a dozen requiring accomodation, according to the list.  Theo and Sheo would be looking for the 4 poster, probably, depends on what else is left for the rest of us!!

Naughty Nells has advantage of being close apparently - just as well, as no parking at hotel.

Unless we get somewhere similar to Goole with attached pub, but that was double beds only.  As much as I love you lot, err, no thanks!!!

I'm not paying Alan Partridge Travel Tavern so if no workshop sleepover be a day run for me. Still get 2 or 3 valets in though. Reckon my gaffer would let me bring the unit down. Bobtail (no trailer) would'nt use too much diesel. I'd be sorted. Bed, night heater, kettle, telly, fridge etc. Only problem is that would knacker my w'end rest period as i'd still have to put 2 cards in so no go.... rather bring the Mig anyway. I'll bring sleeping gear in case.
However it goes looking forward to it anyway. :y

I'm proposing to bring my 'you know what' and use a 'Thingy' Club CL site (small privately owned, 5 unit max.) just down the road from Shifnal in order to avoid any difficulties for Timbuk with his contractual obligations. If anyone is interested, I could provide one bed inside, and possibly up to 4/6 in a full awning for very hardy characters, although these numbers would have to be approved by the site owner and adhered to. The only drawback
It is close enough to make taxiing a solution to drink/drive problems. If this is of interest, please post here soon as bookings would have to be made. Entwood may also be interested in providing a similar facility if he's able to make it. Anybody else?
Cheers,
Bill.

Bill, that sounds like an alternate option that could work......  :y

Might be another campsite we could cross off the OOF list for the future!!   ;D

Sorry guys. The phone rang and distracted me. Very easy to do!
The only drawback is that if any other people are using the site, noise would have to be kept to a bare minimum, but hopefully we'd just want to go to sleep.

I should find out tomorrow if my attempts to get the weekend off have been fruitful ... if they have then we'll look at the awning/van options then. I don't want to offer something I later have to back out of.

A friendly farmer or similar could provide an alternative as already suggested, but in this day and age security and safety, both of equipment and people, has to be taken into consideration. My days of meting out punishment to louts and vandals has passed at my age, I'm afraid, so I'd be looking for safety in numbers on an informal pitch. Let's see what the feelings are.

What about the Days Inn just off the motorway? It is in a passed post, its relitively close and would be ideal and its cheaper than naughty nells.
