Why was she scrapped? I'm looking at my Nocturno Blue daily driver Diseasel with a red back bumper and 3 styles of alloy wheel.. and the V6 I'm restoring up the drive with rust round the screen and 7 years of dust and cobwebs everywhere and wishing either was in that condition!!  :)

I'm genuinely not criticising, obviously you have your reasons, just seeing various parts on 'BB' which many a fellow OOFer would probably love to see on their car  ???

As for the scrapping most usable bits were removed as nls seems to be the new answer these days in main dealers.
main reason is under the skin the omega can be a rotten pear not just rear arches but front chassis legs at cradle mounting points reinforcing and behind the rear splash guards that are at end of sills rots right away and  at base of arch under back seat base at seatbelr mounting point. I also noticed cracks rotted thru at base of windscreen on both sides. it was motd until next year but it was too far gone to bury more money into. Bit not bad for a car 14 that was used as daily driver not garaged full time or trailer queen

Just thought for long term better to find good solid shell to work with as a solid platform to build on bummer it had to be complete opposite of what I was going to build.  Know every bolt on omega intimately. Even to springs and pins in the door locks and ignition lock. Built door cards out of best bits I could get. So disappointed that new parts are drying up. Used my last pair of new wiper connection rods only to find out the long one is obsolete. Car feels really tight with the new arms bushes drop links shocks springs etc and brakes bedded in very quick with new pipes flexys discs pads front and new discs pads pins shoes handbrake cable on rear. Only fault I had after firing it up was airbag which was me needing the proper passenger seat to have the pad and sensor for car seat.

Hi just when you think its all ok drove wife and kids into town for hospital app and afterddropped off the wife to do quick message as I did lap of town.  Just sitting in traffic four lanes wide on a bridge and the engine  died. Cranked but no go. Had toget help to push and call cops to help get through 4 way intersection to push it back to a car park. Or as they told me it wasnt their job to assist me. Luckily got a friendly neighbour that took me home grabbed some tools and a second hand crank sensor from old cars engine. Fitted it in carpark and got her running. Now awaiting a new sensor from main dealers. No warning but an easy fix thank goodness.
