Hi all,

Omega 3.2 Elite Saloon Auto. Silver

In good condition, but bodywork not showroom condition.

Black leather interior no rips or tears
Usual Elite toys, but as normal the drivers heated seat does not heat up!
Has a custom made twin pipe, twin exit exhaust system. (No idea where from, was on when I bought it)

MOT til 28th November 2015

Bad point: Has picked up a misfire on cylinder 1. Changed the plugs on the drivers bank with brand new ones, no difference??

Omega General Help / Misfire

On way home from Coventry with the kids, went to overtake when a flashing orange symbol lit up and felt juddering when under load.
Stopped plugged code reader in, misfire on No.1 cylinder. Erased the code drove off. All fine for about 5mins, misfire back again

Raining and not enough light to look tonight, but any suggestions on where to start looking for the cause please?
Typical, need the car to get back to my unit tomorrow night!! Not impressed.

Well it's that time of year again!!

Took mine in on Saturday fearing the worst, but came out with a ticket and a few advisories so not too bad. Quite relieved tbh.

Picked up on:

Rear tyres close to limit
Offside front suspension has slight play I ball joint (need to look up what this is)
Rear brake pads
Brake fluid change
Fuel filter corroded.

Overall not unhappy.

Hi all,

Anyone in the Oxfordshire area please?

Did some work on the engine yesterday and some how I've managed to damage the thread on the fuel pipe nut that attaches to the fuel rail 

I'm needing to get home Wednesday afternoon so could really do with this sorting by tomorrow if possible?

Anyone free or give me ideas to fix it please?

Omega General Help / Oil Loss??

Hi all,

I changed my oil cooler due to it mixing with my coolant. Up until then, I had no loss of oil.

Since changing the cooler and putting it back together, I'm losing oil fairly rapidly   

There is no sign of oil on the floor, no smell of burning oil, no smoke coming through the air vents and no visible blue smoke from the tail pipe?

I'm getting good mpg, idles ok and starts pretty much first time every time on the button.


Any ideas please?

Omega General Help / Spanner light

Hi all,

After having made a first attempt at changing an oil cooler yesterday, I refilled the cooling system with water and cleaner and refilled the oil.

Car started after a few attempts and ticks over fine.

Unfortunately I now have a spanner light lit up??

Using my Sealey code reader, it's says there are no codes, but if I select clear codes, the light goes out, but then a few seconds later, comes back on

Any suggestions as to what maybe causing this please?

Omega General Help / Inlet manifold cleaning

As my engine is half stripped, the inlet manifold is covered in oil from the failed oil cooler. Is it ok to use traffic file remover and hose it off clean?

Just checking due to the fuel rail electrics

Omega General Help / Oil cooler plate removal

Hi all, hope your all enjoying the nice weather!!

Having a go at replacing my leaking oil cooler. Down to the cooler plate. All bolts undone, encouraged the movement of the pipes, but can't actually get the plate out from between the "V"

I take it there is a knack/technique??

Any help would be appreciated.

Omega General Help / Oil loss??

Need advice please peeps

I'm losing oil but it's not on the floor and not burning it as far as I can tell.

I think my oil cooler is failing as there appears to be oil in the header tank still after flushing the system twice. Could this be the cause??

Hi all,

My park pilot is constantly giving a tone in reverse. Sussed that the sensor to the right of the number plate is faulty/not working.

How do I unplug the sensor? Is it a case of taking the bumper off to get to it or does the sensor "pop" out?

Noticed last night the interior lights no longer work and neither does my driver seat (All electric), yet the passenger one is still ok?

If this is a fuse issue, which one is it please?
