Ron.

Guessing as it also runs from 12v it's only use would be inflating tyres, as it's no way near powerful enough to do anything useful.

From experience, the limiting factor for these little pumps is the cigrette lighter socket can only do 10amp. Although the cheap one I have is a plastic body, I paid less that £10 for it. This one looks better made, but will still be limited to 10amp. When I buy another, which I keep meaning to do, I'll get one that clips to the battery directly.

Please understand, it'll be more than capable of pumping up a tyre, given enough time, but I wanted one for changing pressure inbetween motorsport sessions, so time is limited.

Ive got one, looks identical to that, apart from mines Red, has the Gauge on the Pump itself and doesnt have the Orange lead, just a short Tyre lead and connector, bought mine from Aldi or Lydi cant remember now for around 12 quid.

and yes, there quiet good, small compact, surprising not that noisy and will pump a flat tyre in a min or two, in fact I would say its better than my more expensive and bigger Mitchlin one which was about 40 notes.  :y

So it's basically a tyre pump, no good for air tools. Thanks for the information, gents.
If something seems too good to be true.....

Looks very, very similar to the one I have, but with a long orange extension added.... there is no way mine would run an airtool, but for doing the tyres on both cars, and the tin tent, it works very well .. :)

Battery Clamp version here, 20 amp, slightly cheaper as well.  ;)

Thank you, Zirk - I've ordered one! A 3 quid saving is still worh having, and I prefer direct connection to the battery anyway, especially as it said 20 Amp - does that mean that the pump is more powerful or is it just marketing puff?
