Seems rods missed the little parade up the straights of dover, looked very impressive,  and we managed to find 1 boat to shadow them with, surprised they haven't started to recommission the Belfast,, There's 6 ships sat sitting in Portsmouth docks. :o

The Russian aircraft carrier is knackered and has to travel with an ocean going tug in case it breaks down!  So forget the Belfast, recommission the Victory to sink the tug!  ;D

A friend did mention that Hms Victory, seems to get better quality refits than current craft.

There's also more spitfires in private ownership, than the RAF have frontline fighters.

Trouble is, the media fell straight into the trap. Russian propaganda. !! Be honest, had it not been aired by the media, would we be discussing it, would we care.!!!
Just played right into Putin's hand. ;)
Imagine the chat in the Kremlin....'What happened, the british did not take any notice. S**t...another plan gone wrong'

That's true Tony, I was watching RT the other night where they ran a comedy piece of the British Government and media running around like headless chickens while the Russians sailed peacefully by!  ;D

Don't understand why the GRU hacked VW for the carrier's diesel engine's emission control software. ::) ::) ::)

When the RN was a real navy and IMO out greatest First Sea Lord John 'Jacky' Fisher insisted that the RN move over from coal to oil fuel, our ships used to smoke like that. He was instrumental in pushing ahead against 'wiser heads' with the construction of HMS Dreadnought, which was constructed in 1 year and all other contemporary battleships were history!

Our Type 45's have the very capable PAAMS / Aster anti-aircraft system and they are gradually being retro-fitted with secondhand Harpoon anti-ship missiles, taken from decommissioned Type 22's. They suffer unfortunately from an unreliable propulsion system. With only 6 of the 12 planned built, we don't have enough of them. With the protection of two carriers each requiring a carrier group for protection, we simply don't have enough ships for the task!
