Seems rods missed the little parade up the straights of dover, looked very impressive, and we managed to find 1 boat to shadow them with, surprised they haven't started to recommission the Belfast,, There's 6 ships sat sitting in Portsmouth docks.
Don't understand why the GRU hacked VW for the carrier's diesel engine's emission control software.
When the RN was a real navy and IMO out greatest First Sea Lord John 'Jacky' Fisher insisted that the RN move over from coal to oil fuel, our ships used to smoke like that. He was instrumental in pushing ahead against 'wiser heads' with the construction of HMS Dreadnought, which was constructed in 1 year and all other contemporary battleships were history!
Our Type 45's have the very capable PAAMS / Aster anti-aircraft system and they are gradually being retro-fitted with secondhand Harpoon anti-ship missiles, taken from decommissioned Type 22's. They suffer unfortunately from an unreliable propulsion system. With only 6 of the 12 planned built, we don't have enough of them. With the protection of two carriers each requiring a carrier group for protection, we simply don't have enough ships for the task!
