Omega Oil Cooler
« on: 07 September 2006, 12:56:19 »

Do any models come with an air->oil cooler or is it only the V6's that come with heat exchangers?

Cheers!

As far as I am aware, only the V6 has the heat exchanger arrangement.

The 2.2 also has a small oil to water heat exchanger on the base of the oil filter if I remember correctly.

Its easy to get hold of an oil to air heat exchanger as they are available as after market parts.

I'm going to have to go for a air->oil cooler I think, Didnt realise the 2.2 had an exchanger too though :) do they suffer from contamination problems like the rest of them?

No but, the V6 one doesn't with regular coolant changes as a rule.

I seem to recall that the 2.5 Diesel also had an oil to air cooler in one of the wings.
