Omega General Help / Re: New road tax prices
« on: 31 March 2009, 02:16:31 »
All a con. What gets me about road tax is the street I live on has 4 schools a college and goodness knows how many university buildings on it, either way the amount of traffic up and down it in a day is BONKERS to put it politely. But yet there are pot holes that you could lose a house in in some cases, maybe a bit over the top but you get me. And all they have kept on doing is take up a bit more tarmac around it and refill it. What is it with these people. Have lived on this street for over 15 years on and off and it has not been re-surfaced once in that time.  In this time we have seen the A55 on anglesey grow, the M6 toll, e.t.c. Whats wrong with my street, It's only a mile long. Stupid people. too interested in how many houses they can buy or how posh their parents nursing home is. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone tell this subject really winds me up.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

AHHHH feel better for that Woo Saah.

another exampleof this was one of my first cars going back only 10 years was a Cavalier Sorry but I was a complete boy racer with my 1.8 8v with vinalsand gorgeous 18'' 5 spokes, lol. Had a sensible custom stainless exhaust fitted, Direct cold air feed and final thing was KnN filter with heat shield although only bit of scrap ali plate did work and can honestly say that all together worked well but singularly didn't notice hardly any difference good or bad. Each to their own I think, and it must be remembered that Every car is different.

Only a possibly stupid idea bearing in mind not too advanced in the mig world but I have a spare engine (i.e. 2.5 straight 6 in a cdx 96 reg) that has had the turbo removed which could be taken off your current mashed engine. only putting the idea out there like I say AMATURE alert! Anything to help you get it to 500k.

Omega General Help / Re: Help With Removing Dashboard.
« on: 27 March 2009, 02:26:16 »
Not a clue what a heater rod is I premume a litttle metal stick that went something like get off you ( donation to swear box). I will have come across it at some point in my dash removal. Wasn't as hard nor did it take as long as many ppl said it wud that I spoke to else where.
Lots of Torques bolts and 10 mm bolts and silly fiddly screws in silly places is the best advise / warning. Just opened box and started undoing anything that looked like it might stop me getting dash out. Very satisfying once out though even better if I manage to get mine back together properly. Good luck fella.

Thank you very much. Very handy diagram/ pic. Wish mine was and  looked as well serviced and maintained as the pic.

Thank you very much for the vote of confidence, Bearing in mind that my hammer is the most commonly used part of my tool kit along side my 10mil spanner. lol Don't currently have a haynes but now as the proud owner of 2 migs ( well 1 and a half after this evenings work) think it might be worth the £15 or so.  :y

Omega General Help / keep on thinking of more Q?'s and problems.
« on: 25 March 2009, 00:07:09 »
Could be a long night ahead. lol.
Got a knocking from steering, sounds like it's coming from by the pedals as opposed to outside the cockpit.
Think its only when I turn the steering wheel to the right though. only noticing it at low speeds, i.e. when parking.
Whats the problem likely to be and how do I solve it? Is it still safe to drive? :(
