powell, Bliars chief of staff was on newsnight friday saying there must be a general election and one party could say stuff the result we're staying in, and if they win = referendum in the bin.

Referendum is just an opinion poll... There is no obligation on government to actually follow it, although ignoring opinion would be very, very dangerous for any government!  ;)

Theres not going to much of a existing Government or any potential Government left at the rate all this is going. Did the Nation vote for all this shite?

Legally/ technically that may be true, but the elected Govt. decided to have this vote and told the country, when it was announced, that they would abide by the result. The only possible way out of that would be for the whole Govt to resign, not stand for re election and allow Corbyn to become PM and choose to ignore the result.
It aint going to happen.

What are the odds of Hilary Benn becoming the next Labour leader?

Also, could a Leave coalition be a viable alternative to an underpowered Conservative government?  Could this happen without an election?
