« on: 13 May 2007, 09:55:06 »

:(Can anybody tell me the procedure for putting code in for Blaupunkt 6cd changer connected to Phillips Bose head unit On my Omega Elite. The changer was missing when i bought the car, so i have just purchased another changer with 4 digit code from similar car. Any help will be apreciated. Thankyou

Being Bose, I am assuming its CCR800, though guess it could be CCRT...

On the CCR units, ign on/radio off, then switch on radio whilst holding 0 button for a couple of secs. Bang in code, then press and hold 0 again.

(0 being the source switch just to right of cassette door)

Oh, and welcome to the site :)

Thanks for reply, have tried what you suggested but nothing happens, the screen just shows BRAKE LIGHT CHECK on the top line, nothing on centre, & THE TIME on bottom line, no beep at all. I removed head unit to check model . CCR 800. I then had to code radio in, "different numbers" that went in easy enough. I now have original changer& i plugged it in to find that it accepts it allright & plays CDs but keeps beeping every couple of seconds, Thats why it was taken out i suppose, any other suggestions? Thanks for your help & kind welcome :-[

CCR800 is defo entered same way as radio code, but always use the 0 button in place of AS button.

It is possible to tell the CCR range that they are not CD Changer compatible, but can't think of a reason why anyone would  :-/

The new CD unit, it is the CDC2 one?

Yes new unit is CDC2, it seems as though the head unit isnt recognising the changer when its plugged in because nothing shows up on screen,, yet when original changer is plugged in it shows the word "disc"
