A drive over the Kerry mountains would relax anyone, even TB.  :y ;D
Although I remember in the late 70,s watching works rally cars being thrashed around that area, being driven on the absolute limit.
Not relaxing, but so good to watch, its stil in my memory over 40 years later.
S'funny you should say that Albs because Sat and Sun saw the Rally of the Lakes being held on the self same quiet roads that I drove yesterday .

Noisy barstewards though , they drive past my road end between stages and how some /most got through scruteneering I don't know .
Really upsetting whilst enjoying a G&T in the hammock in the garden ....... 8)

Forgot to say, she broke the Omega.

It runs properly now on petrol, but doesn't run on LPG. *sigh*, add it to the job list.

I'm ashamed to say we both chickened out of the naga at the post-Brackley-meet curry. Must be getting old. :(

the V6 is probably slightly more economical: the 3.0l Volvo fuel gauge can almost be used as a speedo.

Crikey! The 2 Volvos plus an Espace that my Dad had with the PRV engine all drank like George Best on a bad day.*
