Air con not working
« on: 07 August 2017, 18:13:24 »

Hello any ideas. I had my air con recharged, but no cooling. The compressor doesn't seem to be  kicking in . The guy said the pressure was fine. it didn't cost me as it was the dreaded Halfords, and he clearly knew nothing beyond "putting the gas in"

With engine running at idle, door open, switch climate from auto to off a few times, do the revs change? Can you hear anything click/kick in?

Go to a aircon specialist indy garage, most of the large chain auto centres don,t have a clue.

Similar for me. Had it regased twice last summer by ATS😤 had it regased this summer by Mr Clutch, eight weeks later still going strong. I knew when it took them 1.20 hours compared to ATS’s 40 mins they had done a better job. Note all three time I only had 250 in gas.
