What's different about Mercedes Antifreeze?

Handbook says renew after 15 years or 250,000 kilometers.

Marketing ploy?
Like exaggerated oil change intervals and 80k milles cambelt changes for Omegas - to appeal to fleet managers..... ???

I vaguely recall Merc using some special expensive coolant but don't remember much detail, apart from I think its light brownish in colour ?
Hope that helps.  ;D

This is the world outside Omega ownership, you don't need to fix something, change something, have something put right every 350 miles.  ;)

Correct.  Your run it to the manaufacturer spec, then take it in to the dealer for a good butt oppsing.

Obviously, looking at the frequent answers on the common Jag forums, if it needs a clean, you take it to a dealer ;D

OOFers have learnt, through this vibrant community, that preventative care is usually best, no matter what marque we chose to buy :y. Or at least most of us have ::)

Likewise on the Merc forum. The answer to most questions is .... "put the car on STAR" (Mercs version of TechII)

Yes. Very little talk of DIY on the Jag forums.

It seems that most Jaguar owners are fat lazy bastards. :-\
