Well, the Seths have finally arrived home ... after some hasty fault-finding prior to leaving Newent this morning ???

The EML was on, and car wouldn't fire-up ... and guess what ... eventually found a 'missing' fuse.
Seems to have been spate of 'em disappearing at an alarming rate over the past day or so ...  :o

And, (coincidentally) who's this Admin sort by the name of (coincidentally) 'Fuse 18'? :-\

A few pics to follow later. ;)

And here. In fact, I even escorted Mr DTM when he Tech2'd my ABS.

Trouble is, the buggers knew where I left the keys in the tent

This year had noticed our ageing tent wasn't in the best condition and had a split pole section.

Just been giving it a good check over. Straightened all the pegs. It had 1 broken pile and 9 others are splitting. No wonder it wasn't holding its tunnel shape too well!  On the upside I can buy a replacement set of poles for £85 so the tent will live on!  Been keeping an eye on new ones all year and nothing suits our needs quite as well as the one we have so its nice. And a lot cheaper to keep this one going for a few more years.

Jimbob ... are the poles the fibreglass thin ones with elastic down the middle ?? If so you can purchase repair kits very easily and they take just a few minute to do   this is just one of many examples  at 11mm there are others at 8.5 mm and on !!

If you stick your tent type in google with "pole repair" you'll be pleasantly surprised how cheap and easy repairs are !!

Yes. That's the sort of thing. I've swapped one segment out a few years ago. Not hard as you say.

However I'm now at the stage where a quick check reveals 10 segments over the 5 poles NEED replacing. And most the others can't be far behind. I did think about just replacing those, but think at its age the mix of old and new with different bend ability is asking for trouble so I'm going to replace them all. Buying generic from other sources may be a little cheaper but the ones I've found are all colour coordinated for the 3 different lengths and the right length already. Worth an extra few quid IMHO. Cheers for the help and ideas though just this time I think the whole hog is required.
