central locking probs

About 8 weeks ago the passenger door lock stopped working , I could work this lock manually  but then 2 weeks ago it started to work again, until yesterday when it stopped again!!!  any ideas anyone?

Probably the motor on its' way out. One of mine has a spate of not working every so often. Can't correlate it to weather conditions or anything. Just seems to get a strop on every so often!

I blame the wife, this is the second of my 3 Omegas were this has happened and always on her door (she always slams the bloody thing)

If you are prepared to remove and strip the motor, you will find two microswitches inside. One is probably high resistance on its normally closed contacts.

Replacement switches very little from Maplin or similar.
