Shop around, and aim to spend about £75 a corner depending on size...

Runway Performance 926s won't kill you but aren't exceptional.  Goodyear Eagle F1 Assym2 are competent tyres on the Omega. Or if your budget allows, try either Michelin Pilot Sport 3s or Dunlop Sportmaxx :y

Search the forum maybe? Been hundreds of threads on the matter of tyres by now probably  ;D

However Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is a popular premium tyre for the Omega.

and

Runway Enduros is a popular budget tyre.

Runway Enduros were the 916, and performed far, far above their price... sadly no longer available  :'(

Replaced by the Perfomance 926 which are as acceptable as magnolia paint. Neutral but unoffensive in every way ::)

926's are really not good on front of my estate - fine on back but make front very twitchy. Could just be me though.

Would suggest a geometry setting issue... the Omega is a fickle beast when it comes to geometry settings, and some tyres on some cars highlight just how fickle :-\

Thanks Al, I'm still investigating - strange bit is it drives perfectly with the Evergreens on the front - she is clearly fussy about her footwear!

I recently fitted these to the front of my Estate, to replace the - prematurely worn rear - 916's. I've only done 50 odd miles and although they steer OK, they don't somehow feel so good as the 916's, and in general I agree with Al. I'm going to swap them round again to compare the 916' part worns on the front again. I put them on the back due to one wearing on the inside which turned out to be the toe which was out, now corrected.  :y

I think it might specifically be down to the shoulder design... iirc the 916 had a definite, square shoulder whereas the 926 is less defined, and therefore encourages wandering :-\

They certainly have a much more 'rounded' profile on the car than the Evergreens...
