Climate control fault
« on: 22 April 2015, 20:47:45 »

My climate control fan has started making a loud noise all of a sudden like the blades of the fan are in contact with something when switched on

Any ideas?

Thanks, Carl

I had this, when a modified addition to the telematics and fm modulator got stuck in the blend flap behind the kick panel under the glove box. Eejit owner sited it in the wrong place and it got stuck. Zzzzzzzzzz.

Head in foot well, look up, there's a black panel heald in with three half turn penny sized clips. Remove those and the panel. Look up and you'll see tha fan motor housing. Blend flap sits below that. Fan is inside. If you change the re circ on the cc panel you should see it move/open. See if that affects the noise I guess, and with ignition off, see if anything is stuck within.

Took that panel off before the glove box and opened the blend flap had a look and feel around doesn't seem to be anything out of place or stuck maybe it's the fan itself making the humming noise it's only bad when the fan is on full speed hot so bad on low speed
