H & R Springs

Hi guys I'm looking to buy a set of lowering springs but I'm in two minds what to get does anybody know if the H & R springs are a good spring as I've heard there a premium make but just in case anyone has had them in an omega if it drives alright

Don't think I know anyone who has H&R springs fitted, generally people on here use either genuine GM LSC (MV6), Irmscher or Eibach.

Not advisable to go down the route of springs for other models, the Omega is a heavy old bus and springs for a FWD Vectra aren't really up to the job.

Hi there I have apex lowered springs on mine I think they were 40mm drop on my mv6 and have been on my car for about 5years I've been very happy with them ;)

Just wondered about vectra springs as I heard people using them for the omegas that's all

I would like to lower mine about 35-40mm but hoping it still drives nice that's why I was thinking of the H & R Springs

Ask yourself this question bud  :)

How much does a Vectra weigh then compare it to how much a Omega weighs  ;)
Iirc, Omega's are a good 300kg heavier.

Seriously, stick to springs that have been designed for the Omega  :)
Also make sure that whatever springs you buy are for the engine that you have fitted.
Bilstien B4's (or B6's if you really want to stiffen up the ride) and Eibach springs have been proven to do a very good job on the (nearly 2 ton) Omega.
Iirc, these drop the car by a good 30mm  :)
Also dropping anymore then 30mm tends to opps up the geometry big style that needs to be taken into account  ;)

Only mentioned the vectra springs as have heard they fit but just wanted to hear other opinions as I was about confused when I heard that lol   ;)

Think I'm going to go for the H & R springs as there reasonable priced

Never heard of them personally. But get ones for the omega with the correct engine. :)

I have a set of '04 Pontiac GTO springs on my Cadillac Catera Sport. The GTO is a Monaro in disguise. They lowered my car 25.4mm (1 inch). Rides nice, handles great. What more do you need?

Somebody who's tried that particular combination and can say it works. :y

We keep getting the same question. About the same springs from the same car. But from different members. For some reason. :-\

H&R have been around for years (probably longer than I've been alive).  German manufacturer, TUV approved, OE to Porsche, Mercedes and some models of VW etc: http://www.h-r.com/en/about-us.html
