But the relatives of the career criminal, drug taking, out of work, burglar rat feel aggrieved that the old man has not been convicted of murder!!!! :o :o :o :o

Where do these people come from; they really seem to believe that it is perfectly ok to commit serious crime and there should be no consequences!!!! >:( >:( >:(  What kind of society have we bred??

The "wages of sin is death" comes to mind here!

He has been warned not to return to his home or he will be killed. So protecting himself and his wife is effectively ruining his life.
The culprit was a gypsy iirc, and threats from them are not to be taken lightly. They live outside the law, and unfortunately seem to get away with it most of the time.

Even just threats of violence are technically assault, so arrest the lot of them! Why should the victim suffer? Remember Tony Martin, the farmer?

Indeed.  I know, amongst others, one very large traveller family down here who are individually some great hard working people, but collectively you do not cross them, as one person I knew of did last year.  She and her family had to move after she repeatedly broke the criminal law, and just once law of the traveler family.  I, doing my duty, had to call the police after she hit out physically at a traveler grandmother who I know well.   After no police charges were brought against the offending woman, as the grandmother requested,  she and her family told me they "would deal with it".  They did so!!

Few more righteous decisions like this will maybe give the scum the message.

The trouble is we have to change our society so it ALWAYS favours the victim and severely punishes the offender.  In so many families it is the police who are the "filth" and their precious little yobs are so hard done by when they get arrested, and of course "must" be innocent!! >:( >:(

Razing the council estates to the ground and returning them to farm land would actually satisfy the green vote... Which might make an election viable ;D

Hilter? Pah, a mere amateur.

Many of his ideas were actually quite good, and certainly backed by his nation. But a couple were atrocious, and that's what history remembers. And rightly so.

But you cant deny he was a strong leader, and that's what any country needs. That's why I think Trump is good for America, the best of their current crop, but I don't think he's strong enough to do what he needs to do. We need a (modernised) Maggie.

TB, under your administration you will make it illegal to buy anything from ATP, Ebay and the like - and nobody, but nobody, to own/use a computer of lower specification than an IBM Mainframe!

I'm not doing rusty vauxhalls to get rich
they are the family fleet
Can't choose your family .....
BUT you can try and ensure the cars they drive are relatively safe

I.ll have you know that my primary laptop is 2007 vintage, surely one of the oldest pcs used on here?  My “new” desktop is 2010-2011 vintage.

True enough, and the same reason I have spent quite a few hours over the last couple of years pissing around with a 17 year old 1.2 Fiat Punto.  ;)

Mine are older (not saying how old) and no sooner have I upgraded from Windows XP to a shiny new Windows 7 then despicable Microsoft announced that they are about to cease supporting Windows 7 - and no free upgrades! :(
