my elite estate has sprung a leak from the rear n/s shock,if anyone has a couple for sale I would be gratefull,just can't justify stealers prices at the moment

General Car Chat / Vectra dti crank breakage

A mate of mine bought a vectra 2003 2.0 dti (y20dth) cheaply with a broken crankshaft,he has sourced a second hand engine and fitted it and at first all seemed ok,he rang me tonight to say that this engines crank has bust as well,is he just unlucky or is there a problem with these engines.He used the original fuel pump and dual mass flywheel,any connection

just got a years ticket on the mig,no advises so all is good.I was'nt expecting too many issues as its only just turned 70k but happy all the same

I know its not a mig but a mate is having issues with his kelsey hayes equipped vectra,problem started when he noticed that the abs light did not illuminate on start up.
I plugged in my solus and faults were
abs ecu fault
o/s rear solenoid valve fault
He has obtained and fitted a known working unit but still no abs light and the scanner is showing no codes present,he has replaced the bulb with a new one so its not that so don't know where to go from here.
anyone ??
