Recently bought my lad a 1.2 54 plate corsa fitted with a CD30,problem is the bloody thing has a mind of its own and will switch itself on when locked and keys nowhere near it,works perfectly otherwise,any ideas chaps before Sammy gets to talk to it !!

find someone with tech 2 or a good op com. have a look at it via the OBD also look at the body control module. Ive seen cases before where they have gone nuts . normally water ingress damages the BCU and problems stem from there.

Does it do this with a disc left in there overnight, or if disc removed?   

Fairly common problem on those units, and something we can fix if sent over to us - About £50 + postage

No disc inserted, its the radio that comes on

As a test, leave a disc in overnight - and I bet it doesn`t come on

If thats the case, then I know EXACTLY what the fault is
