Title: ...and finally (3.2 Elite)
Post by: Omega VT3000 on 25 July 2006, 16:44:58
...and finally, a car I don't own an more. Much to my wife's delight, I get a noce car and then spend a sh1t load of money 'improving' it. I had this one for about 18 months. I just never fell on love with this car like my silver saloon so, having put about 30k miles on it, I bumped it out to someone and replaced it with the only other manufacturer who still makes RWD big-engined cars.

Nice cars - I'd seen the silver saloon before on your own site (I'm an ABS member, probably linked from there somewhere). Both the MV6 and the Elite estates look tasty, shame you no longer have the Elite, as it looks the part.  Personally, I'm not a BMW fan, though my mum and eldest brother are.

It just doesn't seem right, someone as well known in the Omega world as James being called a Newbie  [smiley=lolk.gif]

Ta ;)

IIRC it wa about £500 and isn't even stainless. It's a bit of a bodge tbh, you have pretty much a standard silencer but the RH tail pipe and bent at a right angle, tho other pipe runs along the back of the fuel tank and it connected with a clamp. A heat shield is provided to stop the tank melting but it's a bit Heath-Robinson, still it looked the part.

Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me ::

Didn't realise I was that famous but the saloon has been around for a while. Only came second at Billing this year in the ABS Omega group so it will have to go  ;D  ;D Not.

You both have late registered 3,2 estates - who is going to sell me one!

James doesn't have his any more. He absconded and bought a BM instead. Much as I don't necessarily like BM's as a general rule, after having seen it in the flesh so to speak, it's really nice.

Incidentally, I'd have bought James' Elite off him, but I didn't realise it was still for sale when I bought mine!!  ::)

Like Roddy says, it has gone. 3.2 litres just wasn't enough. SO I doubled up on cylinders and added 2.2 litres - got me a 5.4 V12 now  ;D

Just as well you got the MV6, I wanted my Omega to go to a careful owner  ;D ;D [only joking]

Yer too late James!! I know you've already had one on test.  8-)

D'ya think yer gonna bear having to give it back at the end of the four days?  The closest I got to that was sitting in one with the engine running and they had to forceably eject me from the drivers seat! :'(

Tell you what tho'!! I think I'm going to have to get the moderators to ban you James!! First you insult me, then cast aspersions and THEN you rub my nose in that!!!

Why I oughtta!!!  >:(

 ;)
