found out this morning that my son's friend returned home from school yesterday to discover his father had hung himself in the garage....15 year old boys just shouldn't have to go through this..such a sad waste of life.
makes me realise that my own personal problems just fade to nothing when a tragedy strikes so close to home.

Omega General Help / poor headlights

really not impressed the with light output from my facelift omega's headlights 
....lenses are clear, polished them a few months back. now the darker evenings have set in i've noticed just how crap they are on dipped beam.can anything be done to improve them?..they are just normal H1 bulbs in them.

Omega General Help / coolant leak at rear of near side head.

hi guys, noticed i was losing coolant a couple of weeks ago.thought it was heater bypass valve so replaced that today. started up after filling coolant back up and immediately noticed coolant leaking along and down the nearside exhaust manifold heatshield and down chassis leg.car is facelift 2.5 v6 on a v plate. car if facing a little downhill on my drive. water loss seems quite severe when engine is cold but almost stops when it reaches temperature???....as always, grateful for help.

Omega General Help / engine miss fire and gearbox check light on

got a missfire at 3300 revs along with gearbox checklight and engine check light today. car is a facelift 2.5 v6 auto.year 00.
wont rev past 3300 revs but runs fine below that. once the miss fire occurs the gearbox goes into limp mode. turn off ignition and fault light goes out untill missfire occurs again.
any takers???

Omega General Help / cruise control

have a 1999 omega v6 cd, its a facelift but with the old 2.5 v6. decided i wanted cruise control so bought the control unit and fitted it as per the guide in the maintanence section. my car already had the cruise stalk fitted and the correct brake switch but i cant get it to work??? any idea what i can do to check the control unit is working??........as always i'm indebted to the more knowledgeable amongst us

put my ebay omega thru its mot today after replacing both rear springs, rear shocks and new brake pads all round. passed first time with no advisories!! chuffed to bits and not bad for a £400 bargain...

as title says, looking for someone to have a proper look at the air con on my 99 omega. took it to quick sh*t a couple of weeks ago as it was empty. they gave me the "cant guarantee it wont leak mate" after vaccing, refilling it etc and for a couple of weeks it was ok, but not really cold. dont want to go down that route again, throwing money away and refrigerant into the atmosphere so would like to know if anyone has had good dealings with proper companys???
