Just ran my registration through Motorwise. Used them before and they were excellent.
£114 if I drive it to local scrappy or £33 if I take it to Congleton in Cheshire !

Prices are obviously way down.  :(

Got a perfect replacement forum Amazon. JamesV6CDX is notorious for replying in threads and then blanking subsequent PMs.

The water pump is sold, but the cambelt kit may still be available if you contact James.

James, PM sent.

Mine came away. I have what is in effect a double sided mirrored piece of glass with the end broken off. I can only imagine it was originally glued to the moving/ heated mechanism which is still in place. The mirror wasn't hit or damaged in any way, just as I was reversing out going to work at stupid o'clock this morning, the glass on the nearside fell off leaving a black, buff surface.

Reversed her off the driveway this morning and the glass fell off. Just the glass please. Thanks.

It's a wee bit of air in the water. If you fill a glass, the tiny bubbles that create the cloudy appearance should dissolve from the bottom up.

If it's in your hot water, maybe your water is a bit too hot ?

Either way, from what you've described, it's perfectly normal and safe.  :y

She tells me he even looked under the car for the spare. Surprised he didn't give the glovebox a quick check........ Just in case  ;D

I showed the wife where it was when I got home as she didn't have a clue either.

Yesterday was Friday at work so we went for beers and curry. I got the train home and the wife picked me up to tell me that she'd used the Omega earlier and got a puncture. As she was parked next to Kwik Fit, she asked for help. Out came a young lad who rummaged around in my boot for a while, ignoring the spare wheel shaped bulge on the nearside, before announcing that these cars didn't have a spare wheel and he couldn't find the can of foam that Vauxhall would have supplied !!

He did redeem himself by filling the tyre with air to get her home and not trying to flog her 4 tyres and new shocks.  ;D

My Reuben's Red 2003 is still a deep, shiny maroon and has not been detailed. It's not garaged either.  :y
