Size is fine, just RR appears for a split instant on the left then the right and old Will E Coyote getting his act together thereafter.

Pretty good, like it, but cannot help further.  Nothing like an expert on things such as this!!

Yep.

A  bit 'jerkyvision' but understandable.

.......it will possibly have done triple that as the police are known to leave the engine constantly running.

Correct, in the main.

At the scene of an accident, if you switch off the engine with the blues and rear reds still on, radio and all the other kit that takes power (two video camera's, video or hard drive video recorder, additional computer for ANPR, VASCAR kit, tracker etc etc) its a ginourmous drain on the electrics, despite an uprated alternator and normally being fitted with two batteries with split charging......

Also, if at the side of the road watching the world go by and you decide to get into traffic quickly to stop someone, time is lost in cranking it over getting it started.  Split seconds, I know, but sometimes traffic gaps are quite short as well.  And it might not want to start clean......

not sure mate the price quoted top to me was for scrap metal - apparently at its highest rate....for some years.

A prediction.......

I recon, due to the high current price for scrap, there will be a major fire in a large scrapyard somewheres soon.  Just coincidence that it empties rusting relics that are 3 or 4 or 5 high of that unwanted upholstery, linings, glass and similar and leaves (relatively) clean though fire damaged, bare scrap metal that can be put directly into the chopper upper and thence straight into a big melting machine with little contaminants.

Oh, and get the premium rate of, I'm told, £120 per tonne.

Or I may be wrong......   :o

So, if you have a favourite 'Meega sitting somewhere in the corner of a scrapyard that you are keeping to yourself , get the bits while you can.  :'(

Hope tomorrow pans out better than today.  We all have had days like that, just needing a beer or two, feet up for a while, hot shower and a good sleep.

Or, when getting up and having breakfast, you feel tomorrow is heading a similar path, get someone to grab a video camera (if you had it, you would drop or break it!!) and film the ensuing carnage.   ;)  Sell on the forum as an alternative to Robin Hoods excellent CD which arrived today.....   ;D

Whatever was hit must have been quite high, though.  I always thought the bumper protrudes further than the trim?

11542
Had a shunt.  Creases to the top left/right of the lock trim.  Well spotted!!

Car is probably ex-bosses car, or Special Branch.  If it was firearms or specialist support, check out for a boot mounted safe or the hefty holes where it used to be screwed to the chassis legs.  Theres summat similar round my neck of the woods.....   ;)

For large heavy things, I use palletline.  http://www.palletline.co.uk/  Fit whatever onto a pallet and it get wrapped in oodles of clingfilm.  £50 for 2 day uplift and delivery to local depot.  A little more for overnight.  Certainly worked out relatively cheap for two 45 gallon drums of gunge and other canvas, tentage and stuff.

I put Dunlop D9000 all round on mine last year.  Good in the dry, but a bit suss in the wet.  Now about 10k miles in, with fronts and rears at about 4mm, but the shoulder on the fns is down - thats roundabouts, more than alignment, I think!!

If new they are about 7mm, then at a guess, still got another 6 - 8 k or so to go, so probably in the same bracket as you are in total.

Where did you get your 4 wheel alignment done, as a matter of interest?  Trying to source somewhere reliable/recommended up our way, but nothing found as yet.

Bit of harmless fun

took a few tries, but got there eventually....

Never used the mcguires, so cant comment on it.

Got a black Omega as well and I use Auto Glym resin polish then the extra gloss protection.  Always comes up a treat.  Noticed that you need to make sure that the car surface is cool to the touch, though.  If its overcast (ideal polishing weather to me) but very warm, or if the sun has just gone in, then it makes the polishing bit a real pain in the posteriour, with streaks and smudges.

Either that or use more elbow grease   ;D
