I believe everything registered before that date will be £140 pa...

That's what I thought also, Seems too good to be true somehow.  :-\

It would be simpler with one price for all cars, I can imagine the people with low TAX rate cars won't be too happy.

...People with gas guzzlers though  ;D

I looked on the Auto Express site  . . . how I read it was  . . .all cars already registered will stay on their current road tax band  . . .  so staying the same

You cannot be serious in thinkng HM Treasury would actually put it down do you  ::) ::) ::)

That would be nice  . . .  but never gonna happen IMO :'( :'(

New rates only affect new cars......possibly.....I think.......maybe.........deffo.

So about £515 for 1st March 2001 or later .... earlier than that £235 as I read the tables

So about £295for 1st March 2001- 23/3/2006, £500-515 for post 23/03/2006 L + M respectively... earlier than that £235 as I read the tables

It's a complete ****ing joke.  How they can justify maintaining the £500+ pa bracket after slashing the new rate.  >:(
