So when we start to repeat history and have the right to offend people who are Jewish, Irish, black, disabled, gay, foreign, do not believe in your politics and start culling ( a word often used (jokingly??) on some of the OOF threads) people, women, children, men, by sending them to gas chambers you will be happy?

I do not wish to become too heavy and so serious on this subject, but that is why we have the laws we do and thank God we do or we could go back to Nazi Germany in 1938.  That all started at the end of the 1920's with jokes, then insults, then attacks about and on the Jews, then spread to everyone who did not fit in. Yes, this IS the extreme, but over thousands of years this is what has happened and caused wars and we must be conscious about the dangers in "jokes" of this type that escalated.

You may all find your, and that Clarkson comments, funny and irrelevant, but there is a very serious side to it.  Also remember, as TB himself pointed out recently, many people view this website, and from around the globe, who do not share this so called "British sense of humour".

Just pointing this out to keep peoples feet on the ground.  That is why I do not find that clowns comments funny.

The Nazi's problem (well, one of so very many) was they singled out based on religious beliefs.

I wouldn't be so strict.  Anyone has the potential to be on the cull list.  Black, white, male, female, young, old, gay, straight, faith believers or otherwise.


From all the pointless, stupid diversity style courses I've had to endure, that's not discrimination.



But, being serious for a minute, we have gone way, way, way too far the other way in the last 20 years.  And this has had a dramatic impact on those that have grown up with this do-gooding, everyone is a winner, pathetic society.  If you saw the quality of 95% of the apprentices put in front of us, you'd grasp it.  They tend no to last, run out crying back to mummy, when I tell them the (simple, easy, quick) tasks I give them are a higher priority than sitting on arsebook.  I'd hazard a guess that most of them are just starting a career on benefits.

I do believe in corporal punishment at school, and parents should smack their children. Naughty Step? Yeah, right.
