I haven't this is a friends car and he just bought it, he said it had been driving fine for a few days then the next morning he went out and it would not respond too well. What effect would that have?

Thanks

I'm not sure you've got the full story TBH.

What age is the car?

OK, lift ECU and check last 3 digits of ECU is 427, not 428.

On the MID I suspect. But it wouldn't have "just happened" by itself.

As said, lets see where we stand - get the ECU number, then we'll take it from there.

In meantime, try to find out if this error message has always appeared every time its been used :y

Hmmm, that all seems correct (tyre size aside maybe), assuming its not an Elite.

Ignoring the duff message on MID, what are the symptoms?
