Door card removal
« on: 08 August 2019, 17:20:38 »

Hi everyone.
My 2003 2.6 estate door solenoid stopped working.the drivers door would open and lock with the key and the remote worked on the other doors so I was not going to bother getting it fixed. Then the  locking tab on the door started staying down, again no problem until I found that occasionally I could not get the door open from the inside or outside and had to get out through the passenger door. I have replaced the solenoids on other Omegas but not the facelift model. I have removed all the screws including the one under the plastic interior door lever. Do I have to take off the decorative wood finished panel. Do I have to remove the door light. On the new site I cannot get access to the advice and videos formerly available on the old site.
Can anyone help. I did manage to get the door tab up by pulling hard with pliers locked on with the window down.  I tried to release the window opening switches by levering up as was necessary on the old model and must have dis connected the switch as I cannot get the window to close and it’s raining tonight!

There is a lot of stuff in there & if you don't know it's there, it can be hard to wade through it all  ;)

Open the cubby door in the door card,  at top by catch you will see a plastic cover about 2inches long, prise this out and there is as screw under there, unscrew and door card will release. no need to remove light.
