New car is misfiring when warmed up.

No EML bulb either missing or dead.
No Spanner light, comes on with ignition, so bulb present and correct.

Codes are

0650
0300
0301
0303

misfire codes are self explanatory,  have new plugs and a known good coil pack, so will be able to rule out the usual suspects when I change those.

TIA,  Al :y

If it's only doing it when warmed up, I guess it would be worthwhile monitoring lambda operation / trims in the live data, from a cold start. Sounds like it's throwing a wobbly when it goes closed loop? :)

Also meant to say, the 0650 code just means the bulb isn't working for the MIL, so worth popping the clocks out for a check/replacement.

I'd say a misfire on 1-3-5 pots simultaneously is very unlikely to be a coil pack / plug issue... but agree that if the replacement parts are known / proven good, then it would indeed rule them out.

Now you mention this fault, I seem to recall we had exactly this issue on an Omega Josh had in, couple of years ago, a 2.6.

I remember we spent ages tinkering with it, changed plugs, coil pack, but the lambda operation on Bank 1 sensor 1 was inconsistent. I seem to recall we even went as far as buzzing from ECU pins back to the lambda connector under the car.. we ran out of daylight in the end, but pretty sure we concluded that was a wiring issue of some form..

Good luck either way.. :y

 Ta :y

Car has a history of lambda issues starting from about 35k ::) been standing for a while as well. Only other known issue is back box split ::)

If it's the estate, be careful the split backbox doesn't burn a hole in the petrol tank like I once saw  :)

From 35k.. what's the mileage now mate? have TVP documented what they've done, in light of it's lambda issues, or what the issues were? I'm guessing it's all been done in workshops?

Done 165k now, but tvp had put new cats on it fairly early on. Comprehensive history up to 103?/2008, not much since :-\ collecting back box tomorrow and taxing tother one so will have a bit of time to look into it :y

If the same problem as my other one, then another loom might sort it :y

Does sound like a wiring fault, if the lambda is proven good. Would be good to see live data figures from cold to warmup.

Ps, was good to put another face to a name...! :y

;D I'm glad it was you, I thought I was in trouble for parking in the 'Police Vehicles Only' bit.

This seems to be a common occurence on TVP vehicles Al, thankfully neither of mine seem to be affected. But the blue 3.2 I had, potentially two of yours and a few other one's I've seen appear to have wiring defects. Whether this is the harder use that is showng up a weakness.?

I went to check out the backbox Al, it turned out to be for a saloon unfortunately. There's a 3.2 FL saloon breaker locally, is there anything you need?

I was in the office writing a statement.. I looked out the window and thought "I'm damn sure that's Josh out there!!"

Was a good chance to get some fresh air and say Hi!

Don't worry in the slightest about parking there, if anything, it's US who will feel the wrath from workshops, if we leave a police vehicle there! :y

Job jobbed :y

Water in the plug wells ::)

135 coil pack changed for a dry one, and the foam liberated from the bulkhead. It was wetter than a very wet thing ;D
