No grey tint from what I can tell.yes iam keeping the blinds closed. I checked the kitchen window as well, that all so sits in the sunlight. That was warm but not hot like the lounge.

Evening all.
I got a strange one. My lounge gets the sun from about 1pm onwards. My question is the double glazed window shot. The glass on the outside is cool to the touch but inside is red hot. Hard to keep your hand on it.

Iam sure the board etc was fully tested I will have to dig out the paperwork. I could contact the installer but I dont think he will travel from Scotland. Yes we have lots of trade people here but they like to pick and choose.last time I needed one it took 12 calls and 18month wait

Thanks but doesn't really help as sparkys round here are few and far between and the ones that are never return your phone calls.

Long time no posts.
Hope everybody is having a great xmas :y
Anyway quick question my bathroom pull cord stopped working so I thought ok I will take it out and put in a normal switch outside the bathroom. So I went into the loft to find the wire into the light. When I pulled the insulation back that was covering the wires going into the light the insulation was black and burnt like it had been on fire.
I dont believe this has happened since we own the house but my question is we have a upto date board that was put in a couple of years ago if this fire happened now would it trip the board out. Also it looks like the yellow green wires are not connected to anything would this have cause the fire.

I need a extension lead for a new tumble dryer, only need about 1 metre would a standard 13amp one do or will i need a heavy duty one.

Asking due to the fact i came home tonight to find the old extension socket end had melted itself to the dryer plug. I had to pry them apart with a screwdriver. Its been working fine for the last 3 years.
Wife refuses to use the dryer again. Hense going to have to buy a new one.

General Car Chat / 3.5mm jack
« on: 11 May 2020, 22:40:43 »
Quick question, at the moment i use a 3.5mm jack lead from my samsung phone to my car stereo to listen to spotify. I also have a usb in the car. Would a 3.5mm to usb lead give me better music sound.
I have bluetooth as well but this keeps droping.

If xenons were a factory option, it's probably worth the effort to retrofit them. Depends on the car though, as some headlights are woefully shit... Vectra C to name but one.
I looked into this. But by the time I have bought all the bits and had it coded it was over £1400.
