It's luck of the draw, I've had 17 other of exactly the same cars which have had no problem. I've got this one which will not stop giving me grief, and it's still giving me grief to this day because of BMW's piss poor workmanship, which they will not accept responsibility for. I can honestly say this one I've got at the minute is one of the most unreliable cars I've owned, one for the engine issues, after that was carried out under warranty, I've had nothing but problems as I say because of a terrible dealership with poor 'technicians'.
Agreed - but all manufacturers have what used to be called Friday cars. My point is that Watchdog were playing on BMW being "better" than others. We all know, in reality, they are no different to any other. And that includes the dealers and their technicians.
And you know that pains me to stick up for BMW
It's spot on and I couldn't agree more, the dealership network is pretty woeful, their 'technicians' don't know what to do unless a computer says do it, although their drink machines make a lovely cup of coffee, the customer service is terrible, and the reliability as you say is no better than any other Manufacturers out there, hence the reason I've got a 2011 car with 141 faults codes (8 pages of A4)
