As per the forum rules, you'll have to put a price you would like for the parts ;

oh right you are, :y then lets say 40 quid the pair?

don't know how that got inside the box? but 40 quid the pair it is plus 15 for transport

as stated Bilsteins that i ordered by mistake for my 2.2 estate but they are for a 2.2 saloon, i can imagine they also go on the bigger motors as well being rears, i am open to offers, postage is 15 quid from Austria tracked.

they were fitted to my car for about ten hours!!
i can vouch for Bilsteins being damned fine shocks.

I came across these on ebay whilst looking for baby moons for my caravan, anyone have any idea what they would have come off?

my Rant!!

My wife works for Sony in the PS3 department and often gets games as they are released and as i don't have a ps3 i sell them on, the last games went missing or the buyer was dishonest and told me they never arrived so i was out the €50 I should have got and the postage which i had paid. So now i have a few more games and want to post them on the bay and they won't let me give more than €3,70 in for postage which means no tracking number and no insurance so i wrote to ebay and asked them why and their reaction was basically theat ebayers abuse the system so they cap postage fees and if i want more out of the postage i should add this onto the game which ofcourse puts up the amount of fees you pay to ebay, i understand this to a point but to not allow insured post on something with a value of over €50 i find terrible, so if there are any gamers out there i have F1 2012 and need for speed most wanted brand new (in English) for the price of postage and a couple of beer tokens!!

man well done! that's one hell of alot of work for a clit, to stop the dust and overspray settling do you not leave the ventilation fans running in the paint cabin whilst drying?

silicone has no place on a car!! it's for the house, IMO I would invest in some sikaflex which is designed for autos and yachts, silicon absorbs moisture in it's curing process which is a good trap for rust .

yes you are absolutely right I was being rather padantic there, I am in the middle of renovating a vintage caravan and the bodyshop where i have it parked always goes on about silicone on vehicles and i must say my caravan had it's fair share and it is a pita to remove!! I think that's where i picked my rant up from!!

it seems to have lost a little fluid but i can't see where from.

That, and all the other symptoms are classic master-cylinder failure.
If you've no obvious external brake fluid leaks, then it will be leaking into the servo.

It might be worth undoing the master-cylinder mounting bolts and seeing if you can move it enough to see into the servo to confirm this, before buying a new one. I'd be reasonably confident about buying a new cylinder without doing this.
Is it worth checking the servo pipe is fully connected and air tight. :-\

And just wondering if the low level could be dropping naturally due to pad wear? Or is it  more than that proportionately?
#
servo pipes seem fine, with the motor off the brakes will pump hard once the vacuum is used, the level seems to have dropped about a third, I don't know how proportionate that is? anyway i have another master cylinder now just need the time to do it!! probably won't be before next week now, will let you know how it goes! thanks for the replies.
