Title: Eurovision "Live" proved a sham
Post by: Alnico Blue on 13 May 2018, 08:55:43
Ha ha  . . just watching the news regarding the stage invasion of the UK performance at last nights Euro song contest.
A guy from the audience wearing  back pack  gets on stage , runs up to the UK performer , grabs her microphone that she is blissfully "singing live" into ,  he runs off with the mic . . . . & guess what . . .  the artists "live" vocals continue as normal . ::) ::)
Not surprising nowadays really  . . .almost all of these  " incredibly talented" performers are unable to perform "live".   Seems like it is the norm nowadays sadly :'( :'( :'(

Thankfully , no one hurt , as the guy was wearing a back pack  . .. this could have been far far worse  :( :(

Swmbo insisted on watching it from start to finish. Theres a whole evening of my life I can never get back.  ::)Earlier in the day I had watched Wheeler dealers, two episodes of Scrappers and F1 qualifying, so my negotiating position was weak.  ;D
The only remotely interesting thing (apart from the stage invader protesting about the British Nazi media) was a Dutch bloke doing a very poor impression of Stevie Ray vaughan.
Last time I remember taking the slightest interest was when Cliff & the shadows sang "Power to all our friends". I think that must have been almost 10 years ago.  ::) :D

I didn't bother much with the acts which are mostly shite, but I quite like the drama and suspense as the results come in.  :)

Graham Norton's snidy comments were quite amusing as well.  ;D

According to the BBC news the guy who invaded the stage is well known for invading other TV shows.

A nutter sorry, someone in need of psychiatric help. ::) ;)

He's not Terry, but he is a worthy replacement. Ken Bruce was equally drole on the bits I couldn't watch 8)

Oh Bugger, I missed it. ::) :y

It wasn,t Simon Bodkin (aka Lee Nelson) by any chance? He,s the guy who gate crashed a FIFA meeting and threw bank notes at Sepp Blatter.  ;D

No. He is a Corbynista nut job who wants the world to know that the British media are Nazis. Goes by the name of Dr. ACactivism.  ::)

I can't even think about watching it with that cringeworthy, arrogant, self centred little prick Norton commentating on it.

Not that I ever watched it before. maybe catch some of the highlights and listen to el Tel's predictions on votes :D

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that of him. I'd rather have him in front of me than behind me, though!  :-X

I think the fact he is openly gay - something I has no issue with at all - means the beeb loves him.

The fact he is an arrogant, pathetic, unoriginal little twit has no impact to beeb mgmt.

Did the UK win it again or was Europe having their annual getting its own back for 500 years of us whipping their asses in various wars & Brexit? ::) ::) ::)

Why can't our song be a politically correct celebration for memorable battles like the Nile, Trafalgar, invading Gibraltar, Crecy & Agincourt & really give them something to give us 'nul points' for. ;D ;D ;D
