Different plugs early to late...either obtain the mirror/sensor to match your car loom or the tails to match the mirror and sensor you have :y

Would need to physically see the plugs to identify them... But absolutely no guarantees of what wiring is left in the roof :-\

That's sunroof and microphone plugs...

Keep digging, you're missing at least 2 plugs if not 3...

Might be behind the big foam block...

Plod could have used the wiring for all sorts, and simply chopped it out at the passenger kick panel ::)

All mime have still had all the plugs present, but the wiring wasn't always intact :-\

Follow my guide for dropping the headlining and see what's up there ;)

had the shell come back on monday from painter. refitted the loom today and ran up the passenger pillar to the head cloth. that was all the plugs there are. is it like the rear blind loom and might be a joining piece for the sensor? i hope

where is your guide?

If the shell is stripped, and that is all you have, then that is all you have :-\

Guide is in the maintenance guide section :y

When I did my autodim I found that the plug in this picture has the correct wires. +ve -ve and reverse switch. Easily double checked with a meter

think this is the sensor wire

https://www.dropbox.com/sc/03925f3iqft6btp/AACebp4Thb0vR24JGOl15KCSa

Using the picture at the bottom of the guide I located the wires in the mirror, removed both plugs and soldered the wires to each other. Works a treat dims and disables when in reverse.

Sorry cant help with the rainsensor

If the headlining is out and you haven't seen it, then no :'( All.runs up.The passenger a pillar...

The bigger plug could be the mirror one then, in which case you can swap the wires into your Later mirror :y

As that option was not an option in 2000, there won't be any wiring in the loom for it. So that's why you can't find it.

TBH, its really, really, REALLY not worth the effort.

Or "oh look - it's that fine shitty drizzle that falls 50% of the time in Cornwall - a slow, intermittent wipe would be perfect right now. I think I will switch the auto wipers on. Oh they are on, let's try speed 1. Scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape. Let's try auto again,
bugger, I can't see, let's try speed 1. Scrape, scrape, scrape, scrape. Let's try auto again,
