Rebuilding issues
« on: 28 August 2015, 18:06:13 »

August 29, 2015

Hi to all,

Im currently in the process of rebuilding my Omega Wagon and I have noticed the following:

1. ALL window button switches including the doors are always illuminated even if the engines off thus the battery might get drained
2. When I start the engine there's static coming from the rear speakers

Thanks in advance

I think its fair to say you need to revisit some of the wiring then!

Is it just W contact stuff that is staying on?  If so, some of this stays on for a set amount of time until door opened and closed.

There is this, but also if your door pin switch isn't picking up the door opening and closing, I believe it stays on longer. Without knowing more about what the rebuild was, it's difficult do diagnose much further, even with the info, there is no guarantee it'll be easily identified from afar. I will say, I believe there is a suppressor to stop ignition noise from the coils, but from what you've described, it sounds more wiring at HU/doors or knackered speakers.

Thanks guys

The culprit was the tailgate door wasn't closing well due to deformed weatherstrip.
