If I fit another pump to the brothers Elite estate does it need to go on Tech2 to tell the ECU or are they plug and play :-\

Has to come from an identical car afaik. So another 2.2DTi Omega, one off any other application requires reprogramming but a Tech II cant do it.

So as long as it from an Omega 2.2dti it's plug and play :y

Depends, I suppose. If it's of the same mileage, then yes, probably not a great idea. On the other hand, father fitted a decent used lift pump to the Turbo Weasel (now my Turbo Weasel) that's now giving up the ghost - its lasted 2 years, and most likely cost a tenner. I've been given another lift pump the other week. Again, used, but known decent.

What £ are they on Trade Club new?

The DTI does not have a lift pump just the engine one, and I would think a new pump is more than the car is worth. I think the 2.5 TD had a lift pump. Asked on the bay about a secondhand one and they want £180 :o :o :'(

£180?!?!?!? WHAT?! Well surely, at £180 you could get one off another Omega, and then pay to have it 'coded' to your car for less? We'll sort something, don't worry.  :)

For £180 you could get a whole new engine.  >:(

I get angry at stupid high prices, driving people to scrap their cars, thus adding to the landfill of the world, sorry.

Well a new GM pump is around £1600.00 so £180.00 for a good second hand one is a bargin

Last one I had went for £160 and I've had numerous requests for them since. No coding required either I believe. Tbh dti manuals ( with known good pumps) break very well !

If someone, such as the good Mr Andy C or Omegod etc can confirm that any Vauxhall 2.2DTi engine fuel pump will work on an Omega, I will get down my local scrappy and have a look for you. Not much chance, but a chance nonetheless, Joff  :)

Ok, it seems according to Opel Parts Base, that there are three fuel pumps,

9119221 used on
Frontera B
Omega B
Sintra

9193454 / 9196993 / R1590041
Astra G
Zafira A
Omega B
Vectra B

24413104 / 9199204 / R1590050
Omega B
Vectra B

Question is... which is yours, and will any other other fit?? Trying to help all I can mate - hope any will 'do' in spite of their different part numbers. Seems no mention of Vectra C, which appears to be different altogether  :(

Very kind thank you, this is my brothers car which I first got for the wife a few years back now, has had most jobs done on it but this may be the end of it for us as I got hold of a 2.2 petrol saloon for him on Sunday with only 69K on it,

It still runs but is in get you home slowly mode with the EML on, car may be going as is, if he can make up his mind, he would have to take his plate off it first.

9119221/9193454/9196993/R1590041 are all listed for X22DTH/X20DTL/X20DTH on various models

24413104/R1590050 go over to 9199204 which is the only number fir a Y22DTH and the Y22DTH is the one fitted to the Omega so look for any of these three numbers
