reverse beeper

It has stopped working is there anyway I can check it.   3.2 saloon

They do that...

There's a guide for checking the system, but as a quick test: ignition to 2, engine off, into reverse and place a finger on each sensor in turn... should feel a faint buzz if the sensor is good.

Also, are your reversing lights working?

thanks will check tomorrow think the lights do work but will check them too

 No buzz but reverse lights work ok

Follow the diagnostic guide to investigate further as there's clearly more going on than a duff speaker... ;)

 There is no initial bleep when I put it into reverse like there was before so think it could be either the speaker or mian unit will try to find the speaker nothing has come adrift from the unit that I can see that is behind the spare wheel
