Lock, position 1 for ACC
« on: 24 May 2014, 13:50:47 »

Hi,
In my '98 Opel wagon the radio is supplied with wake up
power only in key position 2 (ignition powered).
I quickly browsed the fusebox with a voltage meter
and could not find any hot circuit when key in
position 1 - making the Accessory key
position useless.

Is this how mr Opel designed it?

Why not just switch the Radio on with the key out?

I am sure you can set the radio to either come on and off with the ignition or you can set it to only turn off when you press the power button. Can't remember how, think it is hold down buttons1+3 and then turn the ignition on. May depend which stereo you have though.
