What a fluckin cry baby Hamilton is when things are not perfect. His race engineer has to mollycoddle him all through the race.

Right man won the race imo.  Don’t the safety cars mess up the race, I mean all the hard work and suddenly everyone is on top of you, don’t see what else can be done though to be fair.

I believe the attendance was 340,000. Bet it was fun getting out of that. I had a fantastic view of the race (such as it was), lying on the sofa on my back and immediately had tea and biccies after it.  ;D

Vettel won fair and square but we would have had a different race if Raikkonen hadnt punted Hamilton. I wonder how long it will be before No 2 driver has instructions to "take out" the opposition? far fetched? Not really because so much money is involved. This one I just put down to a racing accident. maybe Leclerc won't have so many as he shows Vettel a clean pair of heels.....

Man of the race was Hamilton.

We will no doubt hear from MigV6 on Monday if he is out of the circuit by then. ;D

Had a great day yesterday, spoiled of course by Vettel winning. I wanted to go home after the first lap, but Im glad I didnt. Hamiltons drive back through the field was something to behold. It was clear, even from a seat in the grandstand that he was driving the wheels off the thing to get back up the front.
Second time in three races that a Ferrari has punted a Mercedes off in the first lap. Deliberate ? I don't think so, because I don't believe Kimi would do it. If it had been Vettel on both occasions, then it would be a different thing altogether.
Imo, the cars sound horrible compared to the old v8 / 10/ 12 engines that used to howl like a banshee and make your ears bleed.
They look horrible too with the ludicrous halo device stuck on top.
The heat wasn't as bad as expected as the stand had a roof and there was a nice breeze blowing through from the back.
Free beer and free burgers & chips rounded things off nicely. It tastes better when its free.  :D
Seats were excellent, we sat just where they start to turn into the first corner. Magnusson went of right in front of us. You really understand how fast they are going when you see one skating through the enormous run of area and thud into the tyre wall.
Journey home was shite, as the M1 was stop start for mile after mile due to speed restrictions for non existent roadworks.
Did around 250 miles in the Omega yesterday. By far the longest drive since I bought it. It performed faultlessly and was a real pleasure to drive, as I expected it would be.  :)

All this talk of motor racing brings to mind that fabulous, unique banked track at Brooklands, which apparently is to be refurbished and used for racing again - YAY!
I only wish they could then race the proper cars there - Bentley, Bugatti and others.

How? there's about half a mile of it left, with a housing estate on side and an industrial estate on the other side of where it used to be.
