8, plus the free gourd, or strike me dead!  :)
it's worth 10
oh well..... one born every minute  ::)

You're only getting half a dinari for that life story!

 :y

Right, voltage results are:

after 2 hrs sat   .   .   .   12.53      (12.5-12.8 ideal)
sat with load   .   .   .   11.99      (12+ ideal)
voltage during cranking      no result - was on my own!
idle with no load   .   .   14.36      (14-14.5 ideal)
2k rpm with no load   .   .   14.36      (14-14.5 ideal)
idle with load      .   .   13.97      (13-14.5)
2k rpm with load   .   .   13.95      (13.5-14.5 ideal)

So what do we say to that? Not perfection, but not terrible figures, either? Are we happy to say the battery's on its way out, that explains it then fair enough, something to be aware of? Or look elsewhere as they're 'ok'?  :)

I've been buying trade club 10w40 £38 delivered clicky from ebay for a while now  :y
tracked, fast delivery. great seller ,never had a problem.
I've got through 5 x 20L tubs in the last 18 months
maybe I need an oil tanker delivery instead  ;D
TBB will be along shortly to say it's only 50p at the vauxhall dealer with trade card   ;D
but I think TBB is the only person in the UK to know a dealer who accepts trade club

yup  :y only had a couple now in last 2-3 years, ebay all the way, just no point in waiting till i gt back up north, to have to haggle down the parts bloke, because the 'normal' guy i deal with isnt in today etc etc.

Haha!

Yes it is 'TC' oil/price, but it's on the heebay, has been for months, free shipping comes to your door, don't even have to deal with a spotty erbert at the parts counter who doesn't know what 10w40 is  :y

You can push the boat out like me and pay equivalent of £9.25 for 5 litres, Genuine Vx at £37 for 20litres.  :y

Though that extra £1.25 saved is a bottle of beer from Lidl...hmm....  ;D

Don't have a gauge to test pressure on, Vxl V6 isn't too far from me, I might ask if he's got one to borrow for shekels...

might as well spend  20 shekels on your own.

Twenty?! It's only worth ten!

Never had you as a man of poetry!  :y

Yup, thus proving it was worth 99p  :y  :D

As said, ebay tends to attract people who want 'smaller' items posted, large things tend to do less well on there. Also you're selling to 'the world' but that's the point if 100 people view your lot, but it's only something 1% of the populous are interested in, then that's one person that's willing to bid.

Sell some vintage crafty handmade thing on Etsy or a Craft Fair and you may only have 30 people view your lot, but of those 30 people 25 are 'into' your item...

On Money for Nothing, paint it a stupid colour, call it 'upcycled' and sell it to a moron in London/Brighton for £450, done!  :y

Hhahaahahah.  :D ;D

Ah, the missing is cured, now like I say, DIS pack changed, relocated, it was the usual soggyfoam issue. (was sealed, but was 'damp' outside and that was only a day or so before the heavy rain, this softened the silicone which hadn't cured fully)

Like I say, she runs spot on, but after reassembling from doing the DIS pack and being sat overnight she turned over for maybe 5 seconds before firing. Used to be a couple of turns of the starter only, then over the last few months noticed a little longer, now 5 seconds ish. I thought it was related to the fuel pump, but this morning confirms it's not that.

Suppose the filter may be a bit clogged, it's only been on maybe 2 years maybe less, though.

you can stick it on 99p auction, but with a reserve, that way people will find it when they search 'lowest £ first' as many do, but the reserve means you won't be left furious when Nimbula Otowobdadabadoo wins it for 99p and thought that included free shipping.

Get decent pics, decent description (if people cant be bothered to describe the thing they're selling, I cant be bothered to bid) and away you go... as said chances are won#t sell for much - is it only car parts we're allowed to sell on here, strictly speaking?? Could at least upload some pics, just in case anyone wants some pine furniture?

178
Try Shpock too, and to a lesser extent Gumtree, they're surprisingly good alternatives to the heebay. People go on those expecting to look for local stuff, ebay is the rest of the world expecting it to be shipped. You'll get a Nigerian bid and win the ebay auction, then get the hump when you refuse to post it, even though you said 'collection only' in the listing.  :y

Farcebook marketplace worth a punt, too.

Finally freecycle - but of course that's if you actually want to give the thing away

Wlll do chaps, ta.

Miss DBG has the car today, so will have a look this evening. I'd say the charging system is spot on, but I'll of course do the 'wood' test to rule things out.

Just spotted this on my daily trawl through the web...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-Vauxhall-Omega-B-Front-Exhaust-Pipe-Catalyst-R1620035/293189246524?hash=item444370de3c:g:dj8AAOSw35ZdVV1D

Genuine GM, bargain! Only thing is you'd need to own the DTi which is about three people in the UK, isnt it?  ;D
