The 2 year Jaguar approved warranty (which seems to cover most items) will finish in September.

Should I?

1....Purchase another warranty? Not sure how cost effective this would prove.

2....Sell the car and buy another Omega, or perhaps a fire-damaged Astra derv from a shady scouser?

3....Keep the car and hope for the best. No new warranty.

4....Sell the car and spend the money on loose women, drink and drugs.

5....Sell the car and donate the money to charity.

6....Any other option.

Tough pill to swallow. Big car depreciation sucks. I was surprised to discover M3/C63 hold value better than M5/E63. I know I'm late to the party

£1000 for a car like mine, definitely not. £1000 for a car like yours, definitely. I would imagine that there could be some horrendously expensive repairs on the big cat, and £10 a week is well worth the peace of mind.
That's dependent on: The level of cover, and that it is actually £1000 which is your best guess.

Warranty companies tend to not cover the items that are most likely to go tits up.

At least you know the cars history, how it has been driven and maintaned.

If you are keeping it for ten years , I would take my chances. If two years I might be tempted with a new warranty.

I was hoping that £1000 would secure 2 years of warranty. Apparently not.
