Corbyn caves in
« on: 29 October 2019, 11:48:10 »

General election is now on the cards for December. So we can all go out and vote, return a hung parliament, and start fighting over Brexit again after Christmas. Yay!   ;D

He ran out of excuses. I see Richard Nobrainburgon is saying that Labour will press for 16yr olds and EU nationals to be able to vote. If true this is surely a delaying tactic, it would take a huge amount of work.

I'm now waiting for my facebook page to be flooded with Pro Corbyn crap   :-\

I'd be more happy if the choice was between excellent and exceptional.

Sadly the choice is between dumb and dumber. :-\

This cropped up last week and the electoral commission suggested it could take around six months to get everyone registered (not that I think EU citizens should be able to vote in UK elections). Labour seemed to take this on board and said, this morning, that they would vote for an election anyway.
I would say 'exciting times', but I can't get very enthusiastic about it at all.

Its a real shame David Edward Sutch isn't still kicking around, and was able to field a candidate in nearly all constituencies.
We have a choice to show all these fools currently in parliament, exactly what we think of them.
Sack the lot of them and start again, I say!

It couldn't really get much worse than the present lot....could it??

We'll probably see the Lib dems score big time as they will be seen as the least offensive option  :-\

They're just as culpable as the rest. Guy Fawkes had the right idea.

Last poll I saw a couple of days ago, gave Cons a 96 majority, with Lib Undemocratics with 15 seats :)

But we all know what polls are like !!!

Indeed, and reelecting the current bunch is as bad as not voting... They can't do anything now, so why would another five years help?

Brexit Party FTW, then, in about 18 months, we can have a genuine election based on actual, mutually beneficial policy.

How can revoking Art 50 be seen as the least offensive? I'd put them up against a wall and shoot them at the top of my offensive list.

Electing the British parliament is something to be done by the British people. I cant see any coherent argument for allowing people who aren't British to elect the British parliament.
I can think of many good reasons to raise the voting age, but none at all to lower it.

I suppose the argument in favour of 16 year olds voting is if they work and pay tax they have a right to representation.

Not sure how that works for the lazy f*ckers who don't have a job before they are 30. :)
