BBCi Player
« on: 03 August 2013, 22:00:43 »

I found this - I didn't know that you could watch films on BBCi player  ??? ???

For the younger OOFers, if you have never seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest it's worth a couple of hours of your life. A few very young faces in there too. The warden is apparently the real warden of the asylum, and some of the patients were real patients.

It's not the technology I was commenting on ..... it was the fact that a specific film was on iPlayer. Films aren't normally on it  :-* :-*

Good film but the book it is based on is a lot better.  Unlike the film it's written from the point of view of the huge native american character. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Flew_Over_the_Cuckoo%27s_Nest_%28novel%29

Lots of LSD used in its creation 8).

I wish I read more than I do .... every one always says that the book is better. About the only film I've seen & read the book is Christine .............. the book is better!  ::) :y

If you read a book before seeing a film, the book will always be better, as your own imagination has already built the infill. The book also has the advantage of being about to go to greater depth.

If you see a film first, reading the book will usually either enhance the story, or be hard going...

For me that sums up why most films are a waste of a couple of hours of my life. Give me a good book any day. :)
