General Discussion Area / Auto trader
« on: 25 November 2010, 17:29:19 »
more & more these days it apears that sellers are trying to manipulate Auto Trader, presumably to get their advert noticed  :-/
If you want £2200 for your car then advertise it for £2200 & not £995 clicky  :-?  :-?  :-? A trend used to be frrom dealers advertising a car for eg £300, but is was £300 a month on finance, but it looks like Auto Trader have stoppped that now.
I've reported a few of them to customer services enquiries@autotrader.co.uk & they have replied back to say they've deleted them  :y  :y

I've just answered the phone and the conversation went ......

me - hello
her - silence ...... call centre noise in the background
me - hello
her - is that Mr Andy B  (heavy Indian accent)
me - speaking
her - can I speak to Mr Andy B
me - this is Mr Andy B
her - hello, my name is Christine
me - I don't believe that your name is Christine
her - I'm phoning about your computer
me - No, I think that you're misleading me by calling yourself Christine when it's quite obvious that you're not called Christine
her - thank you bye!

General Discussion Area / Gatsos
« on: 14 October 2010, 21:15:13 »
Just out of interest - No! I haven't been zapped  ;D  ;D - but what exactly are the lines on the road just after a Gatso used for? They resurfaced a road on the way to work a few weeks back, & although the rest of the white lines have been replaced, the lines for the Gatso haven't. Does this mean I can do more than 30mph without a NIP through the door .... not that the thought would ever enter my head  ::)  ::)  ::)

General Discussion Area / 650 Bandit
« on: 08 July 2010, 23:33:55 »
My lads's mate brought his Bandit round this evening to use my garage & tools to replace his drive chain & sprockets (I didn't think there was much wrong with the old bits .... but still  :-/)
He couldn't remove the main drive sprocket .... & neither could I. We roughly assembled the chain again so we could hold it with the chain & a back wheel locked up with the back brake. There was a 4 lug 'thing' bolted to the drive shaft .... there was a sensor of some kind 'looking' at it, but the 32mm nut holding the sprocket didn't want to budge with either my windy gun or 3' breaker bar.
Any one know if we missed anything?

Today was a new record ................. £80.01 :o :o :o :o :o WTF! and Tesco's fuel has just come down in price .....  a bit!
