Noticed a strange squeal in TBE every time I went around a corner. Had to keep finding corners to locate it, seemed to be worse if it was faster, and extreme when the car wouldn't grip.

Traced it to something in the passenger seat. Turfed it out, problem solved.

Not the door handle (or Mrs TB) by any chance  ;D ;D ;)

Heard the 'beeps of death' from the powersounder.

Really should remove that before it self combusts..

Not a bad day here in Kent  ;) so got stuck in and replaced N/S cam cover gasket/thorough clean up of breathers although were pretty clear and just a general tidy up after winter. :y

Will do full oil /filter change in the morning after everything has settled down.  :)

Fixed the creaking door check strap  :y
Heavy rain half way through the job stopped play temporarily, especially as it was blowing into my back, and therefore the car and exposed door  >:(

Thankfully it seems to have worked  :)

Why waste perfectly good petrol money on a crappy new Octavia when you can drive a proper car?
And as for the Superb, cars that long should be more practical ::) Also the firm I work at have bought £75k worth of Superb hatchbacks, only to realise they should have bought estates ;D

They only worked this out when people started to complain about having bags on their laps for airport runs, and always getting picked up with Tourneo minibuses if there were three or four passengers with luggage because the office couldn't guarantee that the luggage would fit in the Superbs. If you have never travelled as a passenger in a Tourneo, my only advice is don't. (the Transit is a good van, but the suspension on the Tourneo is the same as the vans, so good for pallets, rubbish for passenger comfort)  :-\

Got the nod from the council for the lpg conversion as well 8) it was suggested to fit a cylindrical tank rather than a donut one, in order to preserve the spare wheel, but was conceeded that raising the boot floor was acceptable, as is carrying a spare in the boot, although a tyre repair kit is ok too :y
