considering BL had a field full of un-usable ones (due to a change in the rules ) the humble mini metro shopping cart (6R4 version) is a tad pricey these days

Last week. A bloke opposite has one, a Lotus version, he uses for classic racing. His neighbour used to have a Metro 6r4 he used for classic rallying. Unfortunately I live on the poor side of the street.
Having said that, Im sure Ive caught both of them casting envious glances at Airfix 1.

I spoke to someone who worked at BL Motorsport back then and he was offered one of the clubsport 6R4s from the field (albeit painted up in works colours) as a redundancy payment, he took the cash instead...
