My sons neighbour has recently passed away he had an X reg Ford Granada Ghia from new always garaged and serviced regularly, his widow wants to sell it , so I'm of to Leeds today for a look, if it's as good as I'm told I quite fancy it as a "hobby car", no price mentioned yet 🚗🚗🚗

That’s really bad when they have to gratuitously trash things for nothing. I really hope they get caught and get a good kicking
How? From who?

The equalizer..😂

It appears the auto box takes around 6 pints of ATF.

I thought the ATF was supposed to last the life of the car without the need to change it.
.

Quite a few say " sealed for life" but best advice is to change it as it does deteriorate , a lot say that it smells burnt when drained. For what its going to cost it's the best place to start.

Has the ATF ever been changed ? My mates Audi had the same problem the first thing his mechanic did was drain & renew the fluid solved it straight away.

Getting closer, picked up our US Dollars today ✈️🛳️✈️🛳️

Mick, little tip for you which may come in handy should you run out and need more USD. The ships all have cash machines on but charge a hefty fee as you might imagine.

However, if you go to the casino onboard you can load your cruise card with any amount of cash from your bank account/credit card to bet with no fee. You can then immediately go to the teller and cash out in whatever the ship's home currency is (all USD in the Carribbean), again at no charge. No need to bet anything.  :y

I've used this trick once or twice as we tend not to take much physical cash with us when we travel.
.

Thanks for the heads up that's great to know..👍
This is only our second cruise so still learning, we've got £800 OBC but the only place that you can't use it is the casino so loading the card is a good idea just in case.

No I've been pretty fortunate with the RR so far & try to keep on top of any problems asap, I've been advised to replace the suspension compressor as its thrown up a couple of faults recently & is getting sluggish in operation, according to the service history it was replaced a few years ago so that's booked in at the beginning of April before I start towing the caravan.
Yup, get it done.  Not sure if its worth checking for leaks in pipework before replacing compressor, depending what the actual codes are?
.

He checked the codes when it was last in for the new brake pipes, definitely compressor bags + pipes all okay at the moment but you know as well as I do once you've replaced one part chances are something else will go " on the blink" best bit of advice I was given by my farmer mate whose run RRs for years is keep a slush fund of around £3,000 always available 👍
