Towbar electrics - found 'missing' fuse location
« on: 08 June 2008, 21:35:48 »

This might help someone, my 2002 2.2TD estate has Vauxhall electrics kit for the towbar.
When the rear lights started playing up I traced the problem to lack of power (red cable) to the relay box which sits at the back in the rear light compartment.
I could never find the right fuse feeding this, today I found why, the fuse is separate in the engine compartment near the battery, just an in line fuse which had blown.
New fuse and I have working towbar electrics, just in time so I can use my trailer board and throw my mountain bikes on the back.
Hope this helps someone else, wasted more time than I care to think trying to track that one down..
